Careers    Vacation Students

Our Vacation Student Programme is the core of our graduate recruitment efforts. We are seeking talented students who have the potential to develop into exceptional solicitors.

We provide practical experience for students to learn beyond their textbooks through the Vacation Student Programme. Students participate in training sessions designed to develop the core skills required for legal practice.

As a vacation student, you will spend up to four weeks working closely with partners and associates on various projects and transactions, participate in client meetings, negotiations, draft legal documents and carry out research. The programme is designed to give students opportunities to interact with the firm's lawyers and clients. At the end of the programme, students' performance is reviewed and feedback given.

Where do our vacation students come from?

Our vacation students come from many of the world's top universities, including The University of Hong Kong, the University of New South Wales, the University of Melbourne, the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge, London School of Economics, King's College London, University College London and others.

We recruit candidates in the penultimate year of their law degree. Candidates are recruited as potential trainees based on the same criteria as for traineeships.

It is our goal to have the majority of our future trainees to be comprised of our vacation students who have accepted our offer of employment as a trainee solicitor. We will consider top-performing students for a trainee solicitor's position.
